Greetings, everyone. I find myself doubting a ruling made against me in a tournament, yesterday. I tried to play Golconda on my _own_ Anson, and was told that Golconda cannot be played on my own vampires... only on another methuselah's vampires. This was a big reversal for me at this point (I was rather counting on that Golconda for me). Is this true? Because I can't find it anywhere. The text for "Golconda: Inner Peace" says "Play on a vampire with a capacity above 7". Not a word about "controlled by another methuselah", for example. Is there some errata that I have missed? Thanks, and regards, Sigmund Bjornstein

You're right - you're free to Golconda your own vampire - no errata has been issued to change that. -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc. This was a big reversal for me at this point (I >was rather counting on that Golconda for me). You were right. Card text: Golconda: Inner Peace [Jyhad, V:TES] Cardtype: Master Master. Only usable on a vampire with a capacity above 7. {Remove the vampire from the game}. His or her controller gains pool equal to the vampire's capacity. The controller may cancel this card by burning 2 pool. Whoever tried to convince you otherwise was either very ignorant or very sneaky! Golconda often is used to cause a 2 pool loss for your predator/prey (if they don't want to waste time losing their big vamp) so maybe he thought it could only be used for that. Also, Golconda is often used for decks that rely on a single, big vampire. If the vampire gets low on blood or is stuck in torpor, Golconda prevents the self-contesting problem. So to reiterate, Golconda can indeed be used on your own vampires. Halcyan 2

You're so awesome...why didn't I ever think of that! Doh! Someone needs to write a news letter about non-clan cards, so dumb people like me can learn how to use them. -- Aaron The Nosferatu Stuff
