Yes. Damage is damage. Damage prevention cards can be used to
prevent normal and/or aggravated damage, unless card text
explicitly restricts itself to one or the other.
Just like presses are presses. Presses can be used to continue
and to end, unless card text explicity restricts the press to just
one of the uses.

No. DCI has issued no errata, and has only added a handful of rules:
* No Repeat Actions
* PAs burned for votes are not replaced until the end of the turn
* Libraries cannot include any cards on the banned list
* <some timing stuff>
This is spelled out very clearly in the DCI rules sheet available from
the WotC web site.
