damage preventation cards?

if it doesn't specify which damage, is it all damage? or is it just normal damage unless specified otherwise? eg: skin of rock "prevent one damage/prevent 2 damage" ian btw: anam is one of the most competitive people i know. she won't admit it but thats why she plays vampire :)

Example: I hit you with Lucky Blow. 2 damage. You can play Skin of Rock, prevent both of them. Fine. Example 2: I hit you with my hands (1) and my Wolf Companion bites you. Since these both resolve at the same time, the damage lumps together, and you take 2 damage - which you prevent with Skin of Rock (superior). Fine. Example 3: I hit you with my hands, using Claws, for one aggravated, and an Inferior Carrion Crows hits your for 1, too.
