Yes, I know this may sound like a stupid question, but if I knew the answer I wouldn't be asking... <g> Alexandra has the ability to utap (or tap) another ready Toreador once per turn. Does this mean that she can untap one of your toreador as soon as she comes out (during the influence phase)? It is still (technically) your turn. Sorrow

It's been played that way in every game I've heard of where Alex was involved, and I know of no official eratta stating otherwise. Last time *I* played (and I know it's been awhile) the vampires which come out during the influence phase come into play untapped. Has that changed? -Saul Resnikoff da...@rmii.com

That's how the card reads, and it has been ruled legal: From: "Shawn F. Carnes" <sw...@castle.wizards.com> Newsgroups: rec.games.trading-cards.jyhad Subject: SFC's Rulings (8/20/96) Date: Tue, 20 Aug 1996 14:05:20 -0800 Message-ID: <321A36...@castle.wizards.com> 2} Alexandra ------------ * Alexandra may use her ability to tap or untap a Toreador anytime during your turn. This does include bringing her out during your influence phase. LOGIC: Pretty straightforward here. The text reads, "Once during your turn..." This signifies to me that, if ready, she can do it whenever you wish during your turn. Influence, though after the minion phase, is still during your turn. -- L. Sorrow asks "Can she (Alexandra) untap a toreador (not Alexandra) as soon as she (Alexandra) comes out?" Since Alexandra's ability does not depend on her being untapped, it doesn't matter that she is untapped when she comes into play. [ quoted text not captured ]

The question was with regards to whether Alexandra's ability could be used to untap a vampire which got out in a previous turn when she herself first comes out, not whether she came out tapped or untapped. -spongy
