I would have to say that based on the strict wording of the card this was not a legal move; Legendary Vampire Master 2 pool UNIQUE MASTER. Choose a vampire with a capacity above 6 who was moved into your active region during your last turn. Put this card on that vampire. He or she gets +2 bleed and an additional 2 votes. This card may be burned by a vote called by any vampire as a +1 stealth action. The key phrase here is 'during your last turn'. The Hostile Takeover could not have happened on your turn; it must have been played during someone else's turn, and thus Wynn could not have entered your active region on your last turn. Although _this_ situation is illegal, I cna think of an analogous one which would work fine under a literal interpretation of the card; superior version of Grave Robbing. Grave Robbing Action Dominate Normal: (D) Take a vampire from any torpor to your own torpor. You now control the vampire. Superior: (D) As above, but by paying 2 blood from the acting vampire you can take the vampire into your controlled region. According to my version of the rules, controlled region and active region are synonymous terms. Therefore, had you GR'd a 6+ capacity vampire, he would now be eligible for Legendary status. (Sorry Tom, but I'm totally ignoring your ruling in this case about what was 'meant to be said' on Legendary Vampire. What you ruled is _not_ what the card says and until I see official Rules Team Errata to the card (and maybe even not then) I will play the card as written. Players cannot be expected to read the designers' minds and ascertain what you meant to say on each card; we can only play them as written. As written, the above scenario works fine.) Shane H.W. Another bizzare occurance. Rare but it did happen. My grand prey had brought out Wynn and put hoards of ugly things on him. My prey decided this was a bad thing and called a Hostile Takeover (if this the one where you bid for the vampire, it's the one I'm talking about). I ended up winning the bidding and Wynn came over to my active region. My question is can you play legendary vampire on Wynn? I don't have the card in front of me but I remember it saying that you can only use it if the vampire comes into "your" active region last turn or something to that effect. It seems kinda weird but we let it through when I played it and my prey ended up with a big nasty Wynn bleeding him for 3 each round. [ quoted text not captured ]
