ok, like the subject says, i have found some problems. i was looking at my jyhad cards after finally getting them back, and i came upon hellhound. i was wandering off mentally, and i had a thought : hellhound didn t make sense. one, the name should be hellhound (ghoul) or maybe hellhound (nonhuman ghoul) , like thadius says thadius zho (mage) , since hellhounds are ghouled dogs. two, it needs to say may not bear equipment or retainers or use strikes from combat cards . why? well, when was that last time you saw a dog riding a harley and toting a bow? don t think so. and how is spike supposed to tell jackie therman where to drive? and why the strike restriction? i mean he doesn t have potence, so he can t use a signpost anyway! because ghouls are supposed to have potence, so a future card might do that right. well, that and zip gun. and then i looked over my v : tes stuff, and i found that i had a v : tes hellhound. i saw that the damage had been changed to hand damage, something i hadn t thought of, but nothing else. no, wait, there was something else! oh dear. it said can only block now. ok, so what was this supposed to exclude? whatever it s supposed to do, it doesn t. the old text worked. so that s the errata i was talking about. no, wait, thought of another. anachronism. all ranged weapons except for the bow. ok, what happens when another traditional ranged weapon comes out? and what about nontraditional nonranged weapons, like chainsaws? and screw that, what about other equipment? how many (four hundred year) old farts would be ok with using a laptop, even one as great as the mac one depicted ;( ? can you imagine gradpa burning along the highway on a moped? ok, your grandpa s a wacko. try thinking bob dole or the president on that harley. oh, who s the wacko now? don t think so. and would the stoggy old prince be very open to learning how to hack? what about a gentlemanly english brujah trying to recruit an american gun runner? or an american gang? and why would a caitiff with seven master disciplines be set in his ways, or even have any idea of how to act like he s seven hundred years old? just hand this to the irritating errata people and let them discuss my ramblings. bye jacob :d

The current card for Hellhound, I believe, is the current textual reading of the card. As the Rules Team sees it, no errata is currently needed on the card. -- --Shawn F. Pssah! Humans AGE, vampires don't. They don't suffer the effects of senility, alzheimers, and the many other brian-debilitating effects of age. With a clear mind, after 400 years, I'd expect the 'old fart' to be a very wise, adaptable person. If he wasn't, he'd never live (unlive?) 400 years! Jay

[ quoted text not captured ] However, it is _quite_ clear that vampires get stuck in a kind of static like zone of thought in Vampire: The Masquerade. Most of the 400 year old vampires don't conceive of the power of a laptop, and dismiss it as another mortal invention, unworthy of attention. Most of the rest can't adapt to it. The old vampires that can are rare. @ The Corrupter - Adrian Lee Sullivan @ GAT/CS/WS R+++* r(+)>++ # Gamer Coffee-Addict Scripter Author # C(+++)$ USX+$ N++ e+* @#$ Comments ? sull...@cslab.uwlax.edu $#@ tv(+)> X++ b++(+++) @#$ <http://cslab.uwlax.edu/~sulli_al/jyhad> $#@ PS+&-+ PE&-&++ z*+?

The old vampires that can are rare. Exactly. Which is why a card like "Anachronism" exists in the first place.
