Both Arika and Heidelburg Castle seem too nasty. I've seen house rules that limit the castle, but I have not seen any official rulings. Are there currently any? Otherwise the castle is just too useful for the cost. Same goes for Arika - the Inner Circle members seem pretty tough in general, but her special abilities just go too far, and are not matched by any other cards (i.e. there are no location destroyers that are equally potent). _______________ Joe Grant Bell | _________________________________ Reviewer: Strategy Plus Magazine | _________________________________

Only official errata has been to say that HC may not be used to transfer stuff to or from a vampire in combat. >Same goes for Arika - the Inner Circle members seem pretty tough in >general, but her special abilities just go too far, and are not >matched by any other cards (i.e. there are no location destroyers that >are equally potent). No, but the tendency in my play group is to load up on hunting grounds and other blood-generators like Eco Terrorists or Powerbase Chicago. If anyone gets enough of these into play at once, they are virtually unstoppable: their minions have a huge supply of blood, as do they. Therefore a vampire that effectively shuts down *all* blood producing locations is incredibly powerful. Haven't you ever played against someone who managed to get a lot of these cards out at once, and proceeded to win just from the sheer flow of blood? I would be very surprised if the answer is no... [ quoted text not captured ] If the only effect you have seen is her shutting down that kind of deck I don't see that as a major problem. Rory
