If I have an opponent who burns a leather jacket to prevent damage from a strike, then later I grasp the ghostly that leather jacket and burn it to prevent damage from a strike. In whose ashheap does the leather jacket remain? Comments Welcome, Norman S. Brown, Jr. XZealot Archon of the Swamp

The Leather Jacket will return to its original owners ash heap. The same way it would if you had stolen it with a strike, equipped it off a Temptation victim, raved it off a Mind Raped vampire, or traded it with a Succubus Club. When cards leave play (or enter the ashheap in any fashion) they always immediately return to the card's owner's ashheap. See the definition of Ash Heap in the Rules Glossary: http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/rulebook/rulebook.html#rules_glossary "Ash Heap: The discard pile. Cards that are burned are returned to their owner's ash heap." Carpe noctem. Excellent! I was figuring that since Leather Jackets are so popular, and I have heard players complain that Grasping the Ghostly is wallpaper, then if it returns to the owners ashheap then you could fish it back out again with another Grasping the Ghostly again and again (that is if you managed to burn it before it was removed from the game). :) Comments Welcome, Normans S. [text on Grasp t G] (D) Move a non-unique, non-location equipment from any other Methuselah's ash heap to this minion. Put 3 Pathos counters on that equipment. Burn a Pathos counter during each of your untap phases. Remove the equipment from the game if it has no Pathos counters. -Mike Ooi

No. It is "safe" in the ash heap. See also Zombies "recruited" by Ambrosius who are subsequently burned to gain blood. Mr. Lasombra, sir: Does using Grasp the Ghostly to "Move equipment from any other Methuselah's ash heap to this minion" count as "equipping"? For example, would a Leather Jacket obtained in this manner untap the active minion at the end of the turn? Madman the curious

[ quoted text not captured ] Since Lasombra answers my questions, I'll answer his: No. "Move from here to there" is not "equipping". "Equipping" must use the verb "equip" (as in the cardless action to move equipment or Magic of the Smith. [ quoted text not captured ]
