>OK. It's up. >http://www.white-wolf.com/vtes/cac.html I'll skip with criticisms of the point method since that has never gotten me anywhere before. While I'm sure this will get ignored as well, I think the last prize is a bad idea. I've always found that doling out prizes based on who makes games fun is exceedingly unfair, for instance more gregarious personalities are far more likely to win, and tends to produce behavior that may be not be desirable such as playing to be fun rather than playing to win (in this case, possibly something more likely in the later rounds when people don't think they will make the finals).

[ quoted text not captured ] While your critisizim of a prize for being "fun" is in no way invalid in a general sense, the whole "create your own clan" event is a completely absurdist venture from the get go, and as such, splitting hairs between "playing to win" and "playing to be fun" is mostly irrelevant. I don't think anyone who is going to be invoved in the create a clan event is going to be in the least bit concerened with winning the event overall, and the whole exercise will be one of, pretty much, pure gag material (i.e. the whole event will be lighthearted and no one will really care who wins). I'd see your point is highly valid if there were, say, prizes for "most fun player" in a sanctioned tournament. Create a clan, however, is not a sanctioned tournament, and is mostly intended to be funny. -Peter

I would like to play in several of the Dragon*Con Tournaments. Do I need to pre-register for these tournaments? If so, what is the process that I should go through in order to register for these wonderful events? Ira Knight
