LSJ: Shape Mastery canceling a strike card?

If I use Shape Mastery to cancel out an Earth Meld strike against me, does my opponent get to choose a new strike? I only ask because I didn't see a specific clause indicating "If the card was a strike card, the minion chooses another strike." or "The opposing minion gets a new opportunity to declare a strike."
