Hi! A few days ago, we had some problems between a Tremere/Celerity and a Giovanni/Ally. Here are the questions: * What's the effect of "Theft of Vitae", "Drain Essence", etc on an ally ? * If a vampire has a "Memories of Mortality" on it, what are the effects of the susmentionned strikes on an ally in combat ? * Same cards again, against Ambrosius ? Strictly speaking, these are not "damage", but... I could'nt find anything about it in the errata... -- Jérôme Laheurte <lahe...@cicrp.jussieu.fr> Sauron is alive in Argentina!

You gain as much blood as you stole in life. If you stole 2 blood (superior Theft) but they only had 1 life, you get 1 blood. If you stole 2 blood but they had 5 life, you get 2 blood. >* If a vampire has a "Memories of Mortality" on it, what are the effects of >the susmentionned strikes on an ally in combat ? The strikes work normally. Steal blood is not, as you point out later, damage, so it doesn't affect it. >* Same cards again, against Ambrosius ? The strikes work normally. Steal blood isn't damage, so Memories doesn't affect it (if the vampire had Memories on them). Ambrosius is immune to damage that isn't aggravated - but steal blood isn't damage, so it isn't affected. -- James Coupe | PGP Key 0x5D623D5D | ja...@zephyr.org.uk (New e-mail) "Who'd have ever predicted the moment would come when I find myself grateful they've kept women dumb? Is this true? LSJ, please give your official "Correct" to this. We have been seeing a rash of ally decks here recently... Chris [ quoted text not captured ] -- chris ultimate disc - V:TES - hockey v:ekn prince of torrance, ca

How about Talbot's chainsaw and Ambrosiuis? If you target him for the 3 damage, does he not take it ? Chris Shorb <ultima...@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:39A99A59...@hotmail.com... [ quoted text not captured ]

This effect moves blood counters (or life counters) from the target to the striking minion. [...] Example: Sarah Cobbler enters combat with a Mage ally. Sarah has a capacity of four and has three blood. The Mage has two life. After determining range, Sarah steals three blood as her strike. The Mage strikes for 2R damage. Two life counters are moved to Sarah from the Mage [...] -- LSJ (vte...@white-wolf.com) V:TES Net.Rep for White Wolf, Inc.
