Vast Wealth is 'permanent.' You can use it over and over (each turn). Nil carborundum illigitimi, James R. McClure Jr. The OS/2 Apostle <insert disclaimer here>

Here's how it works. At normal, the vamp is taken from the other torpor and brought to your torpor. At the superior, you have the option of spending 2 blood off the acting vamp to make the stolen vamp ready. The superior allows you to pay the cost of rescuing the stolen vamp from your torpor instead of taking another action to do so. > Vast wealth. i think i read this is a one shot card. > is this the case? it seems like this should be a skill > the vampire gets to keep. if not, is the equip action > at +1 stealth or at normal +1 stealth for equipping > + another 1 for the vast wealth? Vast Wealth is a permanent effect. It allows the vamp to equip with the first piece of equipment from the deck, instead of from the hand. This is at +1 stealth. The advantage of the card is to allow the vamp to equip from the deck instead of the hand. stephen

my thanks to the design team for putting out the most recent FAQ! since i am quite isolated from any sort of playing group i have become the resident rule interpretation source for our group of 3 for our lunchtime jyhad matches. of course all of my info has come from this group but it has been quite tricky pulling together various takes on rulings to arrive at definitive answers. although still containing a few mistakes and contradictions the FAQ is a godsend for us and greatly enhances our enjoyment of the game. although i have never played any other of the many card games now being offered i can't imagine how any could stack up to jyhad. i think once all the kinks are ironed out and a definitive rulebook made available that the popularity of the game will take off. now i got a couple of card questions that maybe the group could checkout. thanks in advance for any help. Grave robbing. is it just me or is the superior use the same as the regular use? (except for the cost) shouldn't the superior version allow the stolen vampire to be ready? (albeit tapped) Vast wealth. i think i read this is a one shot card. is this the case? it seems like this should be a skill the vampire gets to keep. if not, is the equip action at +1 stealth or at normal +1 stealth for equipping + another 1 for the vast wealth? that's it. chris hanson swarthmore, pa

(albeit tapped) The superior version makes the vampire ready as well as giving you control of it ("controlled region" should be read as "active region", at least in this case). > Vast wealth. i think i read this is a one shot card. > is this the case? it seems like this should be a skill > the vampire gets to keep. if not, is the equip action > at +1 stealth or at normal +1 stealth for equipping > + another 1 for the vast wealth? It gives the vampire an additional action that it can keep using over and over again to hunt for new equipment. The "equip" action is taken at +1 stealth (card text). If Vast Wealth is used to equip, and the action is intercepted, is the equipment discarded or is the action terminated BEFORE the deck is searched? Same for Magic of the Smith. Damian.

The action is teminated first. The search is part of the action, so if the action gets intercepted, it doesn't happen. Curt Adams (curt...@aol.com)
